Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1979)

Episode Overview

In 1987, NASA launched Ranger III, carrying astronaut William "Buck" Rogers on a five-month journey through the solar system. Unfortunately, the spacecraft encounters a meteor storm, damaging its life support and sending it into a prolonged elliptical orbit around Earth. Fast forward to 2491, when Ranger III returns and is intercepted by the alien flagship Draconia, which claims to be on a peace mission. Princess Ardala and her lieutenant, Kane, revive Buck, but they secretly plan to invade Earth. Buck is sent back to Earth with a concealed homing device, which is soon uncovered by Earth's Defense Directorate. After proving his identity as a man from the past, Buck aids in defending against the Draconian assault, with help from the mechanoids Dr. Theopolis and Twiki.
