Fired Up (1997)

Episode Overview

Terry Reynolds, Gwen Leonard’s longtime assistant at a Manhattan marketing firm, delivers the news that Gwen has been laid off. True to form, Gwen’s first thought is how this affects her—until she learns she’s been downsized too. Months later, broke and evicted from her condo, Gwen shows up at the SoHo loft Terry shares with her brother Danny, an aspiring writer who tends bar downstairs for Guy Mann. Pleading for a place to stay, Gwen endures a humiliating unemployment office visit with the cold-hearted Mrs. Francis. Later, Gwen insists their talents complement each other and proposes they launch a business together.
