During these intense meetings, Chief of Staff Harding Hooten conducts a stern, private assessment of the complications and errors that arise in patient care. As the series begins, Trauma Chief Jorge Villanueva treats a car accident victim believed to have attempted suicide, only to find that the patient is facing a critical brain aneurysm. Meanwhile, distinguished neurosurgeon Dr. Ty Wilson is deeply affected by the case of 11-year-old Quinn McDaniels, whose soccer injury uncovers a serious underlying issue. Workaholic Dr. Sydney Napur cracks a case that has baffled the entire hospital staff, while Dr. Sung Park utilizes advanced deep brain stimulation to help a patient struggling with severe hand tremors.
